Scholarship Donations

Our Friend Cynthia Layman has recently lost her brother.  In lieu of flowers, she has asked for scholarship donations to our website.  Please see the note from Cynthia below and click on our scholarship tab to donate.

"Russell was a kind, generous, and funny person.  He was a great friend and I was lucky enough to call him, brother.  As a lifelong writer, he created original science fiction stories from a young age. I can think of no better way to honor his memory than to share his love of writing with the next generation of writers."

CONNECTING CHILDREN THROUGH LITERACY

We demystify the writing process by creating a safe space for our youngest authors to explore their thoughts and ideas.  All children have stories to tell and each workshop begins with storytelling which is a way to build their own community of writers.  During the workshop, we provide expert coaching to maintain focus and build creativity while maintaining authenticity. We make writing fun through storytelling both oral and written.

What our parents have to say

Zellmer, Brittany.jpg

"It empowered my daughter as a writer and she was excited to share her story with not only us but wanted to call her grandma and grandpa."

Smith, Kelli.jpg

"I was blown away by what my children could accomplish in a short period of time. They developed relationships and a camaraderie around writing.

They loved exploring what they felt was good about writing."
